Me and my friends at college unsuccessfully tried to crash London Fashion Week. We queued for hours in the pouring rain, to try and get into shows but unfortunately, it proved impossible to get in without tickets, although my friends came up with some very elaborate methods, the best one, saying to the security guard 'Im here to make the sandwiches'', when the show had already started and the pre-show drinks and nibbles had already been consumed.. However, we did manage to get in to the backstage 'cinema' at Simone Rocha, where were able to watch live streaming of the show. It was absolutely breathtaking and the concept was sort of pretty 3D floral with and futuristic and punk edge which I thought was a very interesting combination of very different aesthetics, which somehow came together very well. After the show we grabbed as many compliantly bottles of vitamin water as possible like true poor students!
I also l managed to get, some great street style pictures of people coming in and out of the shows .. I even saw Harry Styles but unfortunately didn't manage to get a picture.
I was obsessed with these girls in particular, who looked like a combination of Barbie and My little Pony on acid.
An this very androgynous looking boy, who's minimalist, yet bold look helped inspire my capsule collection.
One of my highlights was meeting Eleanore Hardwicke, who is fashion photographer who often works with the famous teenage style Blogger Tavi Genvision for her online 'zine' Rookie. I also saw her in Dazed being described as one of the next big fashion photographers, so I was very exited to meet her in person.
Talking of Dazed, at the end of LFW, me and my friends celebrated but tearing posters advertising Dazed and Confused off of a lamppost, to stick on out bedroom walls (and shield us from the rain!)
